Childrens Health is Out of Contrtol

This month has been a busy month...being
new in town I join lots of different groups,
visit all the local health food stores,
attend every conference to get a feel of
the town.

It saddens me that out of all the places
in the United States I've visited, there
is such a huge gap between the health care
system and the healing system.

I was curious about this gap so I took a
survey of about 75 people to find out what
they knew about health. Close to 100 percent
believed in alternative medicine and the
right to use alternative therapies.

But when I asked them if they had used it
only a mere 25% said they had.

The other challenge was they didn't know
where to look for reliable alternative
medicine information. Some even said they
would look in the phone book.

Wow!

I figured with the internet, everyone's
response would be to just 'google' it.

Guess that was an eye opener for me,
and I've been in the biz for 30 years!

So I'm making plans to close that gap.
I'm on the search to find ways to get
this option out to people. I'm not
saying alternative medicine is for
everyone, but it definitely needs to
be out there.

Plus I'm offering information from a
biblically based perspective. Meaning
using herbs as medicine, food as
medicine, hot and cold therapy, etc

When I recently attended a conference for
children with autism (Save Our Kids, Save
Our Planet)I would say that most of the
young moms were definitely interested in
learning how to use alternative medicine
to heal their children.

They just didn't know their options.

As a result, they didn't realize when they
feed them certain foods, even if its
labeled 'natural' that it might be doing
them harm.

They might not realize how the cleaning
supplies they use is harming their children's
health, or vaccinations and their side effects.

There's More To Healing ...
I raised all my children using the natural
products I could, without vaccinations, home
births, homeschooled, etc. and they still got
ear infections, bronchitis, coughs, colds, flus, etc

What did I do wrong?

It wasn't that I wasn't feeding them well,
even though we lived in the sub-freezing
temperatures of Wisconsin...the marriage
wasn't the greatest. The family was not
supportive of the way I was raising my kids.
Lots and lots of strife!

Sadly, it ended in a nasty divorce that had huge
repercussions on my children over the years.

But I did learn something which is what I want to
share with you my friends....

Eating well is a good thing.

Exercising daily is a good thing.

But don't neglect the spiritual and emotional
well-being of your self OR your children.
They need tons of nurturing to be totally
healthy. When YOU don't have enough to give,
and bickering, conflict, irritablity are the
norm for your family...this will cause more
damage to your children than you can imagine.

Take care of yourself. Seek the peace that is
necessary for your marriage. When there's peace
in the home, the children are happier. You and
your spouse are happier. Then, health is much
easier to attain.

Until next time,
Dr. Judy
