Although I haven't had too many people ask me this
straight in my face, I've certainly had it told
behind my back many times.
Why?
Because as Christians, we don't know how to
categorize naturopaths. Are they 'new age' if
they talk about alternative medicine? But what
about when they start quoting the scriptures?
Does that make them ok?
I'm a classical, traditional naturopath. Now
that we have that straight, what does that mean
exactly?
I believe that God gave us the ability to heal
using His tools. That means at times laying on
of hands is called for. At other times, it
simply means we need more rest and eat better
food! But at all times, I believe that the laws
of His word have to be heeded, otherwise there
are consequences. Such as...eat a little honey,
that's ok but too much will make us vomit.
I don't mix 'new age' ideology into my business.
I believe energy work (which includes Reiki) is
out and out dangerous for Christians to use.
I believe that practicing yoga opens Christians
up to trouble. It's subtle, deceptive, and right
up the enemies alley in tricking us into believing
its just another form of exercise.
There are so many ways to heal our body that
God has already given us. All we to do is be
diligent in using them consistently.
Until next time,
Judy
